Short Leg

The Short Leg or Lühike Jalg with its stairs is one of the two original streets that connect Toompea with lower Old Town. The other is suitably called the Long Leg and together they are the reason why Tallinn has a limp. The Short Leg was the way to go if you were on foot whereas the Long Leg was kept for riders and carts. This street has many ghosts wandering around, the most known being the monks of the house next to the Short Leg Gate tower but there are also accounts of a ghostly lion and even a tall ship in full sail floating through the air here.
